The Banaswadi police have cracked the sensational murder of 26-year-old Infosys BPO employee, Umesh Krishnan. They have arrested his wife, Honey Mary, who killed Umesh so that she could continue her relationship with her paramour.

Umesh Krishnan, a native of Erode in Tamil Nadu, was brutally murdered at his newly shifted house in Banaswadi on March 2.

Mary in her police complaint had alleged that a group of four men barged into her house, gagged her husband with a cello tape, tied his hands and legs and looted the valuables. She also said the robbers tied her too with cello tape and locked her in a room.

Not a murder for gain

Initially the police suspected that it could be a murder for gain, but started suspecting Mary after she kept on giving different versions.

The police began to verify Mary's mobile call details and stumbled upon her extra marital relationship.

According to the police, Mary, while pursuing her B Ed in Tirunalveli, befriended a mechanical engineering student. Soon the duo started an affair.

Meanwhile Mary's parents arranged her marriage with their family friend's son, Umesh, in 2008.

When her paramour, who by then had completed graduation and fetched a job in Surat, came to know about the wedding, he attempted suicide.

Honey assured him that she would continue relationship with him, and they could unite soon.

Meanwhile Umesh and Mary had come to Bangalore as he was working in an Infosys BPO.

Meanwhile. the paramour shared his agony with his friend, Bipin Kumar Singh, a doctor from Jharkhand. Bipin decided to help him and reached Bangalore along with his journalist friend from Bihar and two others.u00a0

As per the plan hatched by Honey and the four, Bipin and his three friends came to the house in the middle of the night. Mary opened the main door and allowed then in. The four pounced on Umesh who was fast asleep and plastered his mouth and nose with several rounds of cello tape.

After confirming Umesh's death they tied the hands and legs of Mary and removed her valuables to make it look like a murder for gain.

Soon after they left, Honey managed to crawl to the neighbour's house and started banging her head on their door.

Honey confessed that she was planning to go abroad with his paramour and settle there to spend rest of her life.

The police have arrested Bipin based on the mobile conversation and recovered the gold valuables andu00a0are on the look out for the journalist and two others.
